Story received from C.Adam via facebook that occured at the Vancouver Mercedes Dealership on Boundary:
Long story short….i went in and found a 06 C230 that i liked so i test drove it and everything and put 500 down to keep it for me.. everything went well until i had the car. i scheduled an appointment to pick the car up and do all the paper work. i asked them if there was an accident on the car or major reports and for the ICBC report, which they didn’t provide me for like 3 weeks. I picked the car up late afternoon so it was dark and didnt get a good look to see if it was detailed and cleaned. The next day when i looked at the car. the tires were scratched u could see the threads and the inside leather had white spots and wasnt cleaned for sure. i kept harassing them for the icbc report. eventually the finance lady who did my paper work finally emailed it to me….to find out the car had a car accident claim of almost 10k!!! so i immediately called the manager and told him i want to return the piece of crap because its not worth anything if i wanted to i couldnt even sell it…no one would look at it. the salesperson lied to me and so did the lady who did the paper work. i argued with the manager on the phone for like half an hour he says; “this isnt wal mart you cant just return a car as you please”.thats where i told him i was lied to and mislead by your salesperson and i will just bring the car back and leave it in your parking. In the meantime i had asked the finance lady; “how long i have before i could return the car and shes like there is no such thing. Once you have gotten the car that is it”. Well, after arguing and going back to them I threatened the used cars sales manager that i would just take him to court as a smalls claim and he will have to have to take it back. That’s when he gave up and got me my money back.. In the mean time the salesperson who sold me the car had left to china and i couldnt contact him anymore because the manager tried to push me off and told me to deal with sales guy, so the manager called the sales person in china and the finance lady and asked each of them if they had told me about the accident. They blamed one another for not telling me.. saying that, “Oh i thought Pat(salesperson) told him. and Pat said the same about the finance lady. Well eventually i got my money back and he said one of the two either the sales person or the finance lady will get fired!!
